After the portrait of  “King George IV”, by T Lawrence, painted in 1822. The original painting hangs in the Wallace Collection, catalogue number P 559. The King is wearing the Order of the Golden Fleece, an Austrian Catholic order, given by special dispensation of the Pope. The King is also wearing the Order of the Garter.
