This painting is most probably after a mirror image with minor omissions, of "Woman with a Turban" 1840, by Rembrandt Peale. Peale was an American artist 1778 - 1860. Peale travelled to Europe several time and was influenced by the work of Reni and Domenichino. The original painting now hangs in the Baltimore Museum of Art.
