Description: Stummel with ellipsoid bowl.

Thought to denote membership of a duelling fraternity. The front of the bowl is inscribed “Normannia seis Panier!” above the crest. Below the cresst are the words "Ehre, Freiheit, Varterland!" This is a well known student motto - Honor, Freedom, Fatherland which came into use in 1815.
