Description: The theme of this bowl is “The Provider of the Monastery”. The bowl is modelled as a monk with a goose in one hand and a basket in the other. On his back is a bale of corn, partly concealing a young girl. The socket of the bowl is modelled as a priest’s head.
The lid is bright plated brass, stamped on the inside with “Neusterer”.
Displayed on a stem of cut glass with a stag’s horn mouthpiece.
