Description: Stummel with ellipsoid bowl.

The painting is after “Bonaparte at the Battle of Jena, 14th October 1806” by H Vernet, 1789 – 1863. (Napoleon routed the Prussian army, which was led by the Duke of Brunswick, and took 25,000 prisoners). The original painting hangs in the Musee de Versailles.

The lid is of copper gilt.
